Caramelle, the new single by Sara J Jones
After setting the hottest months of the year alight with the talent and charisma that have distinguished her since her first release in the song “Lloret De Mar”, the effervescent Milanese singer-songwriter Sara J Jones returns to the radio and digital stores with “Caramelle”, her new single.
The project, a true full immersion between 80s sounds and hope for a future in which the watchword is "being yourself", confirms the winning partnership with her friend and colleague Marco Conte, who collaborated with the Milanese artist in writing the lyrics, and with the Brianza producer Andrea Cattaldo, skilled tailor of the captivating and impeccable sound suit that dresses the piece.
A praise, a hymn to independence and the freedom to express oneself for what one is without constraints, but above all, a musical exhortation to all women to find, rediscover and experiment with a femininity that must not be dictated by external precepts and canons, but by one's own subjective nature, unique and, for this reason, incomparable with that of others.
Initially titled “Hurricane” to express the duplicity of the female soul—bold, determined, radiant, yet occasionally veiled by a reflective and melancholic cloud that gives rise to feelings of loneliness and sadness, later illuminated and dispelled by a newfound inner light—“Caramelle” highlights the subjective peculiarities of each woman, in a compelling and highly successful analogy with the colorful sweets—“Fruit Joy, M&Ms Goleador, Jelly Beans: you've tasted every color and none of them tastes like me”—to remind us that each—and every—of us is unparalleled, exceptional in and with our own specificities.
A sparkling and versatile song, which by emphasizing the versatility of women, embraces everyone, placing the accent on the ambivalence of many of us, often armored on the outside, at first glance, but, just like candy, endowed with a soft and sweet soul that only needs to be unwrapped and savored day after day; a reflection that must be addressed first to ourselves and, consequently, to all those who cross our path.

"I'm deeply connected to this song," says Sara J Jones, "because, in addition to conveying energy and lightness, it invites anyone who listens to it not to deny, but rather to communicate, their own charisma, their own essence, especially in the presence of those who daily try to change others, imposing and instilling habits and manners that cage rather than support and sustain the uniqueness of each human being. Furthermore, in synergy with Marco Conte, I tried to enhance the figure of women, trying to best express what for me is an essential concept: the freedom to be who you really are, to know and explore your intrinsic value without fear and without fear of judgments and labels.".
A mission that is well expressed in the colorful video clip that accompanies the song, directed by Alessandra Miatello and filmed at the Selfie Room in Pero (MI) and that Sara J Jones has been carrying forward since her official debut with "Waterproof", to urge every woman, especially the very young ones, often surrounded by doubts, uncertainties and complexes that largely concern the physical-aesthetic aspect, not to chase models of pseudo-perfection and standardized attitudes, but, on the contrary, to look inside themselves to reveal, express and emphasize their authenticity, their value, their femininity as best as possible.
