Casagiove, 50-year-old goes berserk: officer stops him with taser that intervenes thanks to reports from neighbors
State Police officers used the taser, an electric pulse gun, last night in Casagiove (Caserta) to stop a 50-year-old man, with a criminal record and serious mental problems, who went into a rage, shouting from the balcony and alarming all the residents.
The police officers of the Flying Squad of the Caserta Police Headquarters intervened precisely on the reports of numerous citizens. When he saw the police officers, the 50-year-old shouted even more, uttering threatening phrases and brandishing a wooden stick of about 50 centimeters; he then threw a heavy ceramic object at the officers. At that point one of the officers used the taser and immobilized the 50-year-old.
