Caserta, training and safety center: 7 fired with an email. Strike begins

Protest underway this morning outside the CFS (training and security center) headquarters in via Unità Italiana. The protest began after the dismissal of 7 people via email.

The mayor of Caserta Carlo Marino and the mayor of Casagiove Giuseppe Vozza also showed up at the picket line. The dismissal took place immediately via email, dismissal immediately with the aim of reducing costs. The fury of the 7 dismissed workers fell on the unions with a banner reading: “Killer”.

“The organization is headed by a president chosen by Ance, and a vice president who is part of the union class. At the moment the vice president belongs to Filca Cisl, but every decision is made by the board of directors where all the unions have decision-making power. Fillea Cgl, and Feneal Uil of Caserta. No manager has spoken to us, and only a week before we had a meeting for the recovery of the company, and no mention of dismissal. Each of us is a member of the union, but given that they wanted us dismissed, who should we turn to? And to think that for 20 years they have taken our union dues directly from our paychecks. In 20 years of service, many managers have passed through, but this current one is the most unsuccessful.”
