Caserta. Two young men of Ukrainian origin, caught the other day stealing in the centre of CasertaThe two boys, aged 31 and 29, were, in fact, removing the copper wires from the electrical cabin of the War Memorial.

A police patrol car noticed their strange movements.

The officers, dressed in their school uniforms, exited their car and stopped them as they opened a manhole on Via Unità Italiana to remove the copper wires. The two young men were then arrested for aggravated theft.

They were placed under house arrest, pending validation: the single judge confirmed the arrest but decided to revoke any precautionary measure.
