Tragedy narrowly avoided this morning in the center of Castellammare: a lamppost collapsed and grazed a woman.

A 32-year-old woman suffered a fright and a slight bruise.

D'A., originally from the Aurano district of Gragnano. Today also happened to be her birthday. The woman had gone out with her mother to do some shopping in the center of Castellammare.

The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. near the Plinio Seniore Classical High School. A utility pole collapsed on a woman walking on the sidewalk.

Immediately rescued and transported to the nearby San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare. Fortunately, clinical tests did not reveal any trauma and the woman in the late afternoon preferred to go out to celebrate her birthday with her family after such a fright.
