A path in the Poggioreale cemetery in Naples, completely overgrown with weeds - sometimes even more than a meter high - due to a lack of maintenance.

This is the complaint of the relatives of the deceased who rest in the "Fondo Desiderio" area, where years ago several gravestones and tombs collapsed, leaving human remains uncovered for weeks before the municipality intervened.

This time, a path that runs alongside the rear entrances of several chapels and a series of niches along the wall has been abandoned. As can be seen from the photos taken in the area, the path is practically impassable due to vegetation that hasn't been pruned for months, which has overgrown the pavement, making it nearly impossible to enter the chapels from the rear.

"A few hours of work would be enough for any gardener or municipal worker to restore our dignity and decorum in paying homage to our deceased," say the family members, underlining the "culpable abandonment." in which this and other areas of the Poggioreale cemetery lie.
