Naples. The Naples Highway Police has arranged targeted services throughout the province aimed at reducing the main causes of accidents, which can be identified in high speed, failure to use safety devices, child restraint systems, protective helmets and the use of cell phones while driving (the main source of distraction).

The joint road safety campaign “Safety Days” promoted by Roadpol – European Roads Policing Network has started. The initiative, carried out with the support of the European Commission, is part of the “European Mobility Week” (16-22 September 2022), with the aim of achieving, at European level, a day, that of 21 September 2022, with zero victims on the roads.

The initiative's objectives are to raise public awareness of the increasing number of fatalities and serious accidents on European roads, to draw road users' attention to the need to realign with the European target of a 50% reduction in road fatalities by 2030, and to demonstrate that, with broad public support, the number of fatalities and serious injuries on European roads can be reduced.

The campaign is fully illustrated on the web page: Roadpolsafetydays.eu All those who wish to support the campaign are invited to visit the aforementioned web page and click on the “pledge” button, through which each road user, by entering their email and name, will sign a formal commitment to respect the rules of the highway code with a view to reducing accidents on all European roads.
