“And Suddenly It's Evening” is based on the book of the same name by Tonino Scala.

In the film, as in the book, Dario's life is intertwined with that of two other young people: the son of a magistrate, his friend, and that of the delinquent 'o moccuso.

In the background of the story, the daily life of the Scherillo family, the dreams, plans and hopes of the young Dario.

The film essentially focuses on this: how crime can enter our lives and influence them, in the hope of sensitizing consciences and moving them against indifference.

"With this film - says Maria Gorrasi, Albanella's culture councilor - our Municipality has shown its deep closeness to the victims of the Camorra. The aim is also to enhance our territory, both from a cultural and tourist point of view, and it is part of a broader discussion: to make Albanella the town of cinema and a natural location for film screenings. For this reason, we are already working on the next film which, this time, will deal with a lighter and more fun theme".

The film was produced by PDR Produzioni of Naples.

The cast includes Franco Nero, Gianluca Di Gennaro, the late Salvatore Cantalupo, Gaetano Amato, Paco De Rosa, Gianclaudio Caretta, Fabio Toscano, Stefania De Francesco, Simona Ceruti, Alfredo Nuzzo, Ciro Ceruti, Sandro Ruotolo in the role of himself.
