Elections 2022: Campania is preparing for tomorrow's vote to elect a total of 38 deputies and 18 senators, 33 fewer parliamentarians than in 2018, and, as elsewhere, with a geography of electoral colleges redrawn by Legislative Decree 177/2020, with borders that often go beyond provincial perimeters. 4.510.726 voters are called to the polls, 2.379.167 concentrated in Naples and its province.

In the capital, a total of 728 voters are expected to cast their vote.

198 people, and 3.245 first-time voters (1.686 men and 1.559 women) cast their ballots in 884 polling stations and 56 special polling stations. It's striking that in this election cycle, 3.802 duplicate voter cards were issued up to September 21, compared to 2.831 issued in the same period five years ago.

This signal could be interpreted as a glimmer of hope for higher turnout compared to recent elections, when less than 70% of eligible voters turned out. Another factor to consider, given that this was one of the most debated topics during the election campaign, is the issue of basic income.

According to the August INPS statistical report, Campania has 416.740 recipients out of a total of 3.515.428 in Italy, with an average monthly income of €618,75, compared to the national average of €552,33. In Naples, there are 401.613 recipients, representing just over 150 households, for a monthly average of €665,85.
