Camorra and bombings in Florence: the three masterminds of the attack arrested.
The judge for the preliminary hearing of the Court of Florence, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of the Tuscan capital, which coordinated the investigations of the Flying Squad - issued a precautionary custody order in prison against three men believed to be the instigators of the attack carried out, using an explosive device, at the entrance of the restaurant "Pizza, Cozze e Babà" in via Gabbuggiani in Florence on the night of February 23, 2021, owned by members of the Cuomo clan of Nocera Inferiore.
This action, the prosecutor's office explains in a note, is part of a clash between rival Camorra clans. The judge recognized the aggravating circumstance of mafia facilitation. The material perpetrators - according to what emerged from the investigations - are the rivals of the Cuomo clan recently convicted with a first-instance sentence, following an abbreviated trial. The ruling is not yet final. The measures, together with search warrants, were carried out, on behalf of the DDA, by members of the Flying Squad of the Florence Police Headquarters in collaboration with the Flying Squad of Salerno and the Campania Crime Prevention Unit.
