FuorigrottaYesterday afternoon, the agents of the General Prevention Office, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Center, intervened in via delle Scuole Pie because the personnel of a car rental company, thanks to the satellite anti-theft device, had reported the presence of a stolen car.
The police, once on the spot, noticed the car parked with a man inside who was talking to another man outside but the latter, at the sight of them, tried to move away to evade the control.
The officers stopped him and identified both of them; furthermore, the man inside the car said he was the owner of a key duplication shop and that the other had gone to his business to duplicate the car key.

The operators, in fact, checked the man who had tried to evade the control, finding him in possession of a key to another car, a cash card registered to another person and 4355 euros whose origin he was unable to justify; furthermore, they ascertained that the vehicle had been stolen the day before in via Riviera di Chiaia.
The man, a 62-year-old Neapolitan with a criminal record, was reported for receiving stolen goods, while the car was returned to the rental company.
