Elections 2022, when almost 57 thousand sections of the 61.417 total were counted in the Chamber, the center-right coalition reached 43,9 percent of the votes, the center-left 26,5 percent, the Five Star Movement 15 percent, Azione and Italia Viva 7,7 percent.
As for the parties, Brothers of Italy stands at 26,4 percent. It is followed by the Democratic Party with 19,3 percent, the League at 8,9 percent, and Forza Italia at 8 percent. The Alliance of the Greens and the Left is at 3,7 percent, More Europe at 2,8 percent, Italexit for Italy at 1,9 percent, Popular Union at 1,4 percent, Sovereign and Popular Italy at 1,2 percent, We Moderates at 0,9 percent, and Civic Engagement at 0,6 percent.
A historic victory for Giorgia Meloni. More than one in four Italians voted for the Brothers of Italy party, which—with the count still underway but in an extremely advanced stage—recorded at over 26%. Overall, the center-right coalition won a clear majority, well over 40%, and is on track to secure an absolute majority in both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
At this point, Meloni could soon be called by the Quirinale, the first woman to hold the post, to try to form a government with the other parties in the coalition, which, in addition to the success of FdI, must also deal with the collapse of the League, which has fallen below 10%.
It seems clear, therefore, that Salvini will have to scale back his ambitions, despite repeatedly saying in recent days that he would be "honored to lead Italy," while Meloni appears to be fully on her way to the premiership. Forza Italia, on the other hand, has held its ground, despite forecasts to the contrary, hovering around 8% of the vote, which could bring, according to Berlusconi's staff, up to 30 seats out of 42 constituencies where the Forza Italia party is running.
In the Democratic Party, however, there is an air of reckoning due to the decidedly meager result: the Democrats are in fact fluctuating around 19%.

Action-Italia Viva, on the other hand, won 7,7% (7-11 senators and 15-25 deputies), prompting Maria Elena Boschi to declare it an "important result," even though Calenda and Renzi had previously expressed hope for much higher numbers. Finally, the Five Star Movement (M5S) made a significant gain at the polls, placing it at around 15%, becoming the third-largest party behind FdI and Pd, and with very high percentages in the South. This represents a true vindication for former Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, who promised to be "an opposition force that will demonstrate enormous courage and determination."
Elections 2022: Berlusconi returns to the Senate, wins with 50% in Monza
Forza Italia president Silvio Berlusconi returns to the Senate. The former prime minister won the single-member constituency of Monza with 50,31% of the vote, defeating Federica Perella, Mayor of Culture of Seregno. Monza is the city where Berlusconi owns the soccer team, which he led to Serie A, a team that the Democratic Party had snatched from the center-right in the local elections. Precisely for this reason, on September 18th, Enrico Letta organized the "anti-Pontida" rally with Democratic Party mayors.
Elections 2022: Claudio Lotito elected senator in Molise
Claudio Lotito elected senator in Molise. The president of Lazio won the single-member constituency where he ran for the center-right. Lotito awaited the results at the Campobasso hotel that has been his Molise residence for the past month, then, in the middle of the night, he commented on his victory.
"I have put heart, passion and authentic feelings into this electoral campaign - he said - which have been well received by the people of Molise. The people of this region have touched my heart and have understood my complete support. Now I will bring their requests to Parliament with the same determination I showed during the election campaign."
Lotito finally reiterated that he will keep the commitments made in recent weeks: "The people of Molise will not be betrayed because they deserve it. This is a fantastic land that has been too neglected in recent years and needs a voice in Parliament."
