Today and tomorrow (September 24 and 25) the European Heritage Days return, featuring approximately a thousand events in Italy's museums, archaeological parks, libraries, archives, and state-owned cultural sites. Admission is also available on Saturday evenings for the symbolic price of one euro. This is a unique opportunity to experience our cultural heritage in the spirit of Europe and understand the value of this foundational legacy of our identity.

Today (September 24) cultural venues will be open at the symbolic price of 1 euro.

There are numerous daytime tours available throughout the country: from underground tours exploring the defensive system of the Spanish Castle of L'Aquila, exceptionally reopened after years of closure for post-earthquake restoration work in 2009, to guided readings for children led by volunteers from the Nati per Leggere association at the National Library of Potenza; from guided tours at the Catholic University of Stilo (Reggio Calabria) to Escape from the Temple of Isis, a logic and teamwork game for children held in the Egyptian section of the Museo del Sannio in Benevento; from "Apparent rari nantes in gurgite vasto - Resurfacing and recovery from shipwrecks and other catastrophes," an exhibition of documents, manuscript fragments, and prints unearthed from the collections of the Bologna State Archives, to the special opening of the Grotta del Mitreo in Duina Aurisina (Trieste); From guided tours with demonstrations of intaglio printing at the National Institute of Graphics at Palazzo Poli in Rome to a visit to the restoration site of the Galleria degli Specchi at the Palazzo Reale in Genoa; from new fragments of XNUMXth-century Cremonese violin making at the Cremona State Library to the discovery of the ancient Picene culture at the "I Pini" archaeological site in Sirolo (AN); from visits to the Monumental Complex of San Vincenzo al Volturno (IS) to yoga in the gardens of Villa della Regina (TO); from a guided tour of the megaliths on the southeastern Gargano promontory to the presentation of the restoration of the statue of Sa Gloriosa in Cagliari; from short stories in recycled paper at the State Archives of Enna to the presentation of the new Archeo Arezzo Anfiteatro app; from a visit to the historic hall of the Superintendency of Perugia to "Ricil-Arte" at the Carlo Rizzarda Gallery in Feltre.

Furthermore, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica hosts the exhibition Discovering the "European Heritage Label" sites, a series of illustrated panels illustrating the 60 European sites awarded this prestigious recognition.
