The news of the woman's death spread across social media and some media this morning. This is a second case, following that of Rose Russo Jervolino, of a death that is not such.
Two cases in a few weeks are definitely too many.

The candidate of Italia Viva had explained on her social profiles on September 12th: "From the beginning of this electoral adventure, even before to be honest, many people have been concerned about my health. Some in a truly sincere and affectionate way, some in a manipulative way. Everyone knew that I couldn't be at my best. Everyone, and Matteo Renzi in particular. And yet Matteo strongly supported my candidacy and I couldn't say no to him.
Even with my head bandaged, with a cane, with my arm in a cast (so to speak), with my legs less toned, with my head spinning, I'm doing everything that needs to be done.
Phone calls, meetings, interviews, posts on social media, etc. etc. I know perfectly well that my “place” was coveted by others (or rather by others, since it was up to a woman).
And I know the dynamics of election campaigns. So I thank those who worry about me, more or less sincerely, but I want to reiterate STRONGLY that I am fully in the field to get our list and our political project the best possible result.
