The operations of the Carabinieri Forestali aimed at combating environmental pollution crimes continue.
The military carried out offshore operations in the municipalities of Palma Campania and Tufino. In the first municipality north of Naples, the military found a storage of special waste equal to approximately 20 cubic meters in an area of 1.400 square meters.
The Carabinieri found that the waste came from a company run by a 25-year-old local. They found a real activity of management and storage of special plastic waste.
The site was also found to be unsuitable as it was partly exposed to weathering as well as lacking the required authorization. The entire area and the uncontrolled storage of special waste were seized and the manager reported.
In Tufino, instead, the Carabinieri Forestali checked a truck driven by a 55-year-old local man. Inside the vehicle, special waste transported without any authorization and therefore probably destined for illegal disposal. The truck was seized while the driver and the owner of the company - a 60-year-old - were reported
