Outside a well-known beach in Ischitella, in the municipality of Castel Volturno, a boy's car was completely devastated.

The young man, as he told the regional councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli, had refused to pay the 5 euro bribe to the illegal parking attendant on duty. The criminal, for 'revenge', had him find the car robbed of everything: stereo, headlights, spare wheel, and broken windows.

“There have been several similar characters around that area for some time now, I don't understand how it's possible that no one from the police ever arrives to carry out checks and catch these people asking for money.

By doing so, they're making us slaves to this phenomenon, especially those with newer cars. They're forcing us to bend, or we wouldn't have to go out anymore.", explained Vincenzo, the victim of the incident.

“What happened is shameful, but it is only the latest aggression in an endless series. Illegal parking attendants, we will never tire of repeating, are criminals in every respect. They are anything but fathers who bring home the bread. They are violent extortionists, who are part of a Camorra system that brings in thousands of euros, under the table, every day.

Without forgetting that most of these criminals also illegally receive the citizen's income. Something has been done over the years, but too little. And, clearly, it has not been enough. We need to act with an iron fist, with specific services by the police. An iron fist and the certainty of going to prison, only in this way can we begin to eradicate this shameful phenomenon", commented Councilor Borrelli.
