Schools in Caserta will close tomorrow for inspections following the severe weather.
Mayor Carlo Marino is preparing an ordinance to close all schools in the city (not polling stations) to allow for assessment of any critical issues. The City Council has announced this through its official channels.
"Citizens are reminded -writes the Caserta Administration - that from this morning at 6:00 a.m., an orange weather alert for rain and thunderstorms, including severe ones, has been in effect throughout Campania, issued by the regional Civil Protection Department and valid until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, September 26, throughout Campania.

The Municipality of Caserta advises residents to "avoid unnecessary travel, without prejudice to the need to exercise their right to vote." The Municipal Operations Center at the Municipal Police Headquarters is active, while the CCS (Rescue Coordination Center) is meeting at the Prefecture. A permanent roundtable has been convened in the Province to monitor the situation.
