The Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Marcianise Company, during a territorial control service, proceeded to the arrest in flagrante delicto for robbery committed with the use of weapons, carrying without justification metal instruments reproducing weapons, without the red cap, violence, threats and resistance to a public official, of a fifty-six year old from Naples, currently already subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the judicial police.

The soldiers of the Carabinieri, following a report issued by the operations centre, following a request for help due to a robbery in progress, received at "112", promptly intervened in via Clanio where, thanks to the victim, they identified the car robbed a few moments before .

Upon seeing the police, the criminal immediately accelerated his march, triggering a chase through the streets of the historic center of Marcianise, but was stopped after a few hundred meters at the intersection of via Santoro and via Duomo.

The intervention of the military personnel, carried out with respect for the safety of the citizens and with the help of a patrol of the local municipal police, made it possible to block the robber who, in order to escape, threatened them with a pistol, which later turned out to be a stage weapon without a red cap.

During the subsequent personal and vehicle search, the arrested man was found in possession of not only the 9 mm caliber pistol, with a round in the chamber and 5 additional rounds inserted in the magazine, but also a box containing 43 blank rounds.

The items found were seized. The robber was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
