A marshal was beaten with unprecedented violence to force him to give up the purchase of a house that was being put up for auction.
This is what an Air Force marshal living in the Caserta area suffered in November 2011. Fearing another beating, he decided not to confirm the purchase offer, thus also losing his deposit.
The Carabinieri of Giugliano in Campania, coordinated by the Naples North Prosecutor's Office, today served three suspects with precautionary measures (one house arrest and two residence bans in all municipalities in the provinces of Naples and Caserta) issued by preliminary investigations judge Caterina Anna Arpino. Investigators are charging the suspects, to varying degrees, with the crimes of extortion and obstruction of auctions.
Per John Norman, 49 years old from Caserta, the judge ordered house arrest, while George Norman, 46 years old, from Aversa, and George Of The Puca, a 52-year-old from Casaluce, was notified of residence bans.

The attack occurred after intimidation by a man claiming to be the owner of the auction lot: two still unidentified individuals, posing as couriers, took the marshal from his home and beat him outside. Investigations by the Giugliano in Campania police also documented the interference of the three suspects during the auctions of other apartments.
