Rescued by passers-by, the injured man was transported to the Clinica Pineta Grande in Castel Volturno where doctors treated the deep wound, with 14 stitches. The case is being investigated by the Carabinieri of the local Company, led by Captain Chennet.
According to some testimonies collected on the spot, the attack was based on trivial motives; in particular, the attacker accused the victim of being an anarchist, a certainty drawn from a tattoo that the young man has on his arm.
