Mortgages in Naples, requested on average 143 thousand euros, the highest value detected in the region.
Despite the increase in interest rates, according to the analysis of Facile.it and Mutui.it, during the first seven months of 2022 the average amount requested by prospective borrowers in Campania increased by 1,9% compared to last year, reaching 136.041 euros. In Naples the average request stood at 143.210 euros, the highest value recorded in the region.
The price increases have also pushed many applicants to evaluate new types of mortgages, so much so that, in July 2022, 30% of the financing applications collected by Facile.

At the provincial level, in the first 7 months of the year, Naples was the area of the region where prospective borrowers requested the highest average amount (143.210 euros); the provinces of Salerno (131.576 euros), Caserta (123.717 euros) and Avellino (115.610 euros) followed in the ranking. Benevento closed the ranking, an area where those who applied for a mortgage tried to obtain, again on average, 110.578 euros.
On the interest rate front, there is an increase in the cost of financing; today an average fixed rate mortgage can cost 26 thousand euros more than in the past, while the starting installment of a variable rate mortgage has increased by about 30 euros.
