In a school in Casoria, instead, the carabinieri provided assistance to a man who fell to the ground while he was in the voting booth. The 67-year-old initially refused assistance but after a few moments he called 118. He is now in hospital, in Frattamaggiore. His conditions are not serious.
In Caivano, a 66-year-old local man argued with other voters over the voting section assigned to him.
The Carabinieri on duty at the polling station asked him to lower his voice and that's when things got worse. The man threatened to kill everyone present and then tried to hit the soldiers with an umbrella. Then he refused to give his personal details, grabbed the soldiers and ran away.
The carabinieri reached him at home and arrested him for resisting arrest and being a public official.
