Naples Film Festival, the works in competition revealed. There are 28 titles selected in SchermoNapoli Corti

28 works have been selected in the SchermoNapoli Corti competition of the 23rd edition of the Naples Film Festival, directed by Mario Violini, which will take place from 26 September to 1 October 2022 with screenings and meetings at the French Institute in Naples.

A total of 1205 short films applied to participate in the festival by registering on the international platform "Film Freeway." Of these, 169 works reached the final round. They were then evaluated by a committee composed of critics Giuseppe Borrone and Ignazio Senatore, and director Violini himself. They then decided which films to submit to the 2022 jury, composed of director Guido Lombardi, critic Antonio Fiore, and journalist Ilaria Urbani. The jury will award the Vesuvio Award to the director of the best work, along with special mentions to the works, authors, and protagonists who particularly stood out.

Many faces known to the general public were involved in the films such as Renato Carpentieri, Teresa Saponangelo, Lello Arena, Denise Capezza, Antonia Truppo, Lino Musella, Filippo Scotti, Salvatore Misticone, Corrado Taranto, Giacomo Rizzo, Denise Ailser and many others.
