Naples. The Carabinieri of the Naples Scampia Station have executed an order applying the precautionary measure of custody in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples, District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against two Neapolitans aged 39 and 25 (MARINO Leopoldo and PANDOLFI Carmine), considered seriously suspected of extortion and aggravated injuries by the Camorra method.
According to the reconstruction of the investigations, directed by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, the two men, in the month of July 2021, showed up several times at the home of a 27-year-old, then under house arrest in Scampia, threatening him with the pretext of obtaining the repayment of an alleged debt contracted some time before, but in reality to force him and his cohabiting mother to leave the home where the two victims resided as legitimate assignees.
Three extortion episodes were documented, during the last of which the victims were forced to hand over the keys to the apartment to the suspects and to vacate it immediately.
The provision was notified in prison to MARINO Leopoldo, already detained in Poggioreale for another case, while PANDOLFI Carmine was arrested and taken to the Secondigliano Penitentiary Center.
