The 'Amato Lamberti' Social Responsibility Award returns to Nisida

The Amato Lamberti Social Responsibility Award, promoted by the non-profit organizations Jonathan and Gesco, returns to Nisida and has reached its ninth edition, scheduled for Saturday 10 September 2022 starting at 19 pm in the open spaces of the European Study Center.

Designed to promote social responsibility as a tool for participation and active citizenship, the Award is aimed at personalities from the world of work, business, journalism, culture, the third sector and institutions, who have distinguished themselves for their actions of civil resistance and solidarity commitment. The award ceremony, organized with the technical coordination of Exit Communication, will be presented by the journalist Ettore De Lorenzo and is accredited as a training event by the Order of Journalists of Campania (entitles to 5 credits).

The Award will open with the Peace Recognition presented to Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo, the last diplomat to leave Afghanistan when Allied troops decided to withdraw from the country, personally contributing to saving hundreds of children from the bloody Taliban dictatorship.

The other awards will follow: for Citizenship, to the artist Jago; for Journalism, to Gigi Di Fiore, editor of the newspaper Il Mattino; for Social Work, to Carlo Borgomeo, president of the Fondazione con il Sud; and for Culture, to the publisher Diego Guida. In the Business category, the company Manfrotto and Videndum Media Solutions, which has always been involved in activities for young people at risk of delinquency, will be honored; in the "Napoli Città Solidale" category, the lawyer and animal welfare volunteer Paola Carbone Falconio will be honored. The "Paolo Giannino" mention will be awarded to the A. Chianese Foundation for its work on behalf of the most disadvantaged children. A special award will go to Peppe Pagano, who supported farmers in a struggle that even went on hunger strike to protest the "massacre of healthy buffalo." The Memorial Award will be presented to the family of Mario Paciolla, in memory of the human rights activist and journalist killed in Colombia. During the evening, a video greeting by Patrick Zaki will be shown, and a plaque will be presented to Isabella Mastropasqua, director of the Department of Juvenile and Community Justice.

With the president of Gesco Sergio D'Angelo and the managers of Jonathan Silvia Ricciardi and Vincenzo Morgera, the president of the Order of Journalists Ottavio Lucarelli, the wife of Amato Lamberti, Roselena Lamberti, the directors of the newspapers Il Mattino Francesco De Core, Corriere del Mezzogiorno Enzo D'Errico and Repubblica Napoli Ottavio Ragone and the writer Sara Bilotti will speak at the awards ceremony. Also speaking will be Rosanna Romano, General Director for Cultural Policies and Tourism of the Campania Region and Gianluca Guida, Director of the IPM of Nisida. Thanks to the collaboration of Paola De Ciuceis, all the winners will receive a work of art donated by the artists: Ilaria Abbiento, Michele Attianese, Mary Cinque, Giancarlo De Luca, Lucia Gangheri, Rosaria Iazzetta, Rosaria Matarese, Enzo Palumbo, Daniela Pergreffi, Antonello Tagliafierro. They will give away a work made by their ceramic workshops: the Centro diurno l'Aquilone (Asl Napoli 1 and coop Era), the Fondazione Il meglio di te with NisidArte and the cooperative Nesis with 'Nciarmato a Nisida. The Picture of life workshop of the Jonathan Association will give away an artistic photograph.

The 2022 edition has the patronage of: Ministry of Justice; Campania Region; Municipality of Naples; Order of Journalists of Campania; Suor Orsola Benincasa University. Media partner is the Napoliclick portal. Refreshments and catering by Fattoria Selvanova and Monelli tra i Fornelli.
