The new season of Teatro La Ribalta is ready, workshops and shows for adults and children.
All set for the official opening of the 2022/23 theater season of the Teatro La Ribalta which once again bears the signature of the artistic director Valentina Mustaro. Fresh from the long summer tour, the Salerno cultural association is ready to reopen the doors of the structure in via Calenda. With the press conference behind us, the next appointment is aimed at all the citizens of Salerno: on September 24, in fact, there will be the usual Open Day with free rehearsals of the courses, shows and debates on the function of theater in our society.
An improved and renovated Theater!
The curious and enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to visit the spaces of the Theater that have been completely renovated and improved. A new light for the structure that thanks to the determination and commitment of the members will also guarantee a higher quality of vision for the spectators with the purchase of new seats that have completely revolutionized the "Eduardo room". An important effort for a self-financing structure that for ten years now has had the sole purpose of promoting knowledge of the theater in all its forms and of bringing the new generations closer to this world through workshops, meetings, conferences and training courses.
Last year's artistic program has been confirmed: 18 shows, divided and organized into 2 different programs.
The Different Faces of the Theatre
The first certainty is undoubtedly represented by the I Diversi Volti del Teatro (The Different Faces of Theatre) festival, created with the aim of encompassing Theatre in its various forms of entertainment: from musicals to comedy, from drama to cabaret, through pantomime.

And to conclude, the company Io non ti conosco by Paolo Blasio with Orizzonte.
Little emotions
The diamond tip of La Ribalta, which also for this new year will try to make the little ones dream with eight appointments, which given the numerous requests will be composed of three replicas. The kermesse, acclaimed by numerous families of our city, will see the full collaboration of the book library Saremo Alberi and the Baby Planet playroom that will continue to offer the public a pre-show with animated readings and moments of entertainment.
Among the new entries and reconfirmations we find the participation in the program of the company La Bottega di Will, Flavia D'Aiello, the Polo delle Belle Arti di Salerno and the company Idea Live. As well as the company La Ribalta which will open on October 16 with "La lampada di Aladino".
The School of Drama
In addition to the various programs listed above, the La Ribalta theater has for years given ample space to the theater school and artistic training through theater courses divided by age (Ludotheater dedicated to children from 3 to 7 years; theater course for children from 8 to 12 years; theater course for adolescents for children from 14 to 17 years and of course the theater school for adults, divided into beginners and advanced). The courses are aimed at the entry of new actors into the company and are designed to combine the pedagogical aspect of art with the formative aspect of theater, through the study of themselves, their limits, their emotions and abilities; thus forming actors aware of themselves and prepared for the different roles to play.
In short, rather than a theatre season, it is right to speak of an “artistic experience” given the vastness of the offering and the ability to immerse oneself in a world that continually searches for the beauty of expression.
