International Festival 'SanremoCantaNapoli'

International Festival "SanremoCantaNapoli", 21 and 22 September in Sessa Aurunca.

It may seem strange, but promoting the great history and important tradition that Naples boasts with the song is a journalist from Turin, Ilio Masprone who this year is taking his project SanremoCantaNapoli on the road. Starting right from Sanremo, the city of flowers and Italian song par excellence, it will land in Sessa Aurunca on September 21 and 22 with a Neapolitan musical Talent in which 10 new talents of bel canto will compete with unreleased Neapolitan songs.

From the evocative stage of the archaeological site of the Roman Theater of Sessa Aurunca, the young people selected before Covid, by a Musical Commission structured by the patron of the event, now in its third edition, will compete on stage in the presence of a Quality Jury, critics and the Campania public who will be able to participate for free.

An important collaboration that of the Musical Commission which boasts great artists: from the brilliant Lucia Cassini, to the music critic Federico Vacalebre, from the composer Piero del Prete, to the theatre impresario Lello Greco, to the orchestra conductor Adriano Pennino, to the critic Mario Bartoletti, up to personalities such as Franco Fasano.

During the two evenings we will meet 20 New Proposals who will perform a traditional repertoire with songs taken from various Sanremo and Naples Festivals and 10 unreleased Neapolitan songs.

First evening performers:

Gustavo Martucci, Carlo Cuomo, Silvia Falanga, Giulia Ferraro, Imma d´Inverno, Jen Quirito, Angela Cuore Matto, Rosa Pellegrino, Nikita Micallef, Elena Di Matola, Alessandra De Ruberto.

For the final evening on Thursday 22nd: Marianna Viscione, Roberta Limoncelli, Alessandra Murolo, Fabiola Fusco, Rossella Opromolla, Francesca Santoro, Nathaniel Attard with the tenor Francesco Malapena, Alessandro Gargano, Anna Persico, Guerima Petrillo, aka Arina.

At the end of the evenings, Mayor Lorenzo Di Iorio and Councilor for Tourism Italo Parenzo will deliver the Certificate of Participation of the Municipality of Sessa to the young participants, while the three winners will receive the Scholarship, made available by the CEO of the Turin-based company Pluriservice Innovation srl, Giovanna Bongiovanni, as well as the prestigious Award designed and created by Michele Affidato, a goldsmith.

The conduction is entrusted to the actress Miriam Candurro, and to the Rai journalist Massimo Proietto. In the first evening the journalist will have at his side, the debutante Top Model Chiara Cernicchiara with surprise interventions by Lorenzo Leotta. At the end, among the finalists of the two evenings, a dozen new and particular voices will be selected for the creation of a Musical (with traditional repertoire) for a tour in Italy and abroad with the aim of not forgetting the great Italian and Neapolitan melody.

It should be noted that the event, in addition to enjoying the institutional patronage of the Liguria Region, the Municipality of Sanremo, the Municipality of Sessa Aurunca and the Campania Region, for the first time received the patronage and partnership of the CPTV of RAI of Naples.
