The Karting World Championship kicks off in Sarno, the finals on Sunday 18 September

It starts today at Sarno, on the Naples International Circuit il FIA Karting World Championship. Four exciting days of trials, qualifying races and finals at the end of which the world champions of the categories will be proclaimed OK e OK-Junior.

More than 200 drivers from 49 nations across five continents are competing to challenge the reigning champions for the world title: the Finn Tuukka Taponen (in the OK category) and Japanese Kean Nakamura - Berta (in the JUNIOR category).

Up to Saturday September 17 the sessions will take place qualification, while the two final are scheduled for Sunday September 18: at 13pm, the OKJ race which will be held over a length of 17 laps (25 km); at 14pm, instead, the OK race will take place which will be held over a total route of 30 km (20 laps of the track).

The 2022 World Champions will be announced at the end of their respective finals.
The event, which is being held under the patronage of the Automobile Club Italia and the ACI Campania, will be attended, among others, by the highest authority in the sector, the President of the Karting Commission of the FIA ​​– Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, Mr. Akbar Ebrahim.
