Back to school: here is the calendar region by region. Today in class from the province of Trento to Basilicata.
The first to return to school on Monday, September 5, were students from the autonomous province of Bolzano, but for the majority of Italian students, lessons will resume between today and September 15.
As it does every year, the Ministry of Education has issued an ordinance containing the dates of national holidays and establishing the start date of the final state exams for the second cycle of education.

The Regions then set the start and end date of lessons, and any additional days of school closure during the Christmas and Easter holidays or at other times.
THE SCHOOL CALENDAR OF THE REGIONS
Today, 12 September, Students from Abruzzo, Basilicata, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont, the Province of Trento and Veneto are returning to school.
Il September 13th lessons will resume in Campania, while the September 14th it will be the turn of the students of Calabria, Liguria, Marche, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Umbria. The students of Lazio, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna will start again September 15th, while for the students of Sicily and Valle D'Aosta the school year will start on September 19th.
