Simona Molinari, Pacifico, and Raiz are the first guests at the 18th Bianca d'Aponte Award. The contest for female singer-songwriters will take place in Aversa on October 28th and 29th.

Simona Molinari, Raiz, and Pacifico are the names of the first guests of the 18th "Premio Bianca d'Aponte," the competition for female singer-songwriters that has now become a staple in the Italian quality music scene. The competition will take place at the Cimarosa Theater in Aversa on October 28th and 29th, under the artistic direction of Ferruccio Spinetti and with Rai Radio 1 as the official media partner.

Grazia Di Michele will be the godmother. In fact, every year the Award hosts a prominent artist who presides over the jury and proposes a song by Bianca d'Aponte, the singer-songwriter to whom the event is dedicated. Last year's winner, Isotta, will open the evenings, while Daniela Esposito and Ottavio Nieddu will host.

Additional guests will be added to the cast and will be announced soon.

The artists selected for the final of the competition, as already communicated, will be: Angelae (Angela Zanonato) from Padua, Candeo (Paola Candeo) from Milan, Giorgia Canton from Verona, Fefe (Federica Sartori) from Bolzano, Assia Fiorillo from Naples, Jole (Jole Canelli) from Savona, Jungle J. Anne (Giulia Covitto) from Grosseto, Lamo (Daniela Mornati) from Milan, Lula (Lucrezia Di Fiandra) from Rome, Moà (Martina Maggi) from Terni, Alessandra Nicita from Lecce. Some of the competitors will be accompanied by the resident band directed by Alessandro Crescenzo.

The finalists were selected as always in a month and a half of work by the Award Guarantee Committee, made up of dozens of professionals. They are producers, record producers, managers, singers, authors, musicians, journalists among the most important in the Italian music world.

The overall winner will receive the Bianca d'Aponte Award, with a scholarship of €1.000, participation as a guest at the next edition of the Award, three presentation concerts produced by Doc Live and the possibility of participating in the Premio dei Premi del Mei in Faenza. The winner of the Critics' Award "Fausto Mesolella" (historical artistic director of the event) will receive a scholarship of €800. Mentions will also be awarded for best text, best music and best interpretation.

In addition, various prizes will be awarded to some finalists directly by entities external to the organization or by individual judges. Among those confirmed are the "Premio 'Na stella" (named after a song by Mesolella) from Virus Studio, which includes the recording of a song with artistic production by Ferruccio Spinetti; a year's offer of legal and managerial assistance for the winning artist or another finalist from Siedas; a prize from Soundinside Basement Records consisting of the production of a live studio video; and a prize from Mariella Nava's Suoni dall'Italia label, which includes the possibility of a possible artistic collaboration. Furthermore, starting this edition, producer Daniele Grasso's Dcave Records will offer one finalist the complete production of a three-song EP.
