Theatrical performance in the Arienzo prison: the inmates are the protagonists. Samuele Ciambriello is present.
Yesterday evening, in the “G De Angelis” prison in Arienzo, a theatrical show was held, staged by the company “La flotta”, in collaboration with the cultural association “Naturate” and the association “Polluce Aps”. A show that had as protagonists the prisoners of the Arienzo penal institute.
The Campania Guarantor of the rights of people subjected to restrictive measures of personal freedom, Samuele Ciambriello, attended the theatrical performance, together with the director of the prison Annalaura De Fusco and a large group of guests.
Guarantor Ciambriello stated: "When theater enters the educational space, it can express itself as a training or teaching tool, but also as a specific form of expression and a transversal language. The performance of the differently free was a glimpse of hope that calls for our commitment. We must go beyond the walls of indifference."
After the show, Samuele Ciambriello went to the detention wards, where he met a delegation of inmates, who had asked to speak to him to expose several critical issues.
