The Carabinieri of Ischia have put an end to the violence suffered by a woman for years and never reported. The violent husband was arrested at the end of yet another attack.
A report to 112 asks for help for a family fight. There is a rush because in that apartment in Forio it is “delirium”. In the house a 40-year-old husband, his 21-year-old wife and a family tragedy that has been going on for some time.

The Carabinieri of the local station intervene and manage to enter the apartment. The scene is also strong for the soldiers who find themselves in front of the man. He has a cloth in his hand and is trying to remove blood from the walls and on the floor. That blood is from the young woman who is curled up in a corner of the kitchen. She is crying and her face is completely bloody.
The Carabinieri stop the 40-year-old and arrest him. Shortly before, the man had – after yet another argument – attacked the victim by punching her. A swollen face and a 10-day prognosis for injuries.
The woman finally has the courage to report her attacker. Mistreatment, harassment and violence suffered for years and never told.
The arrested man was transferred to prison awaiting trial while the woman is now starting a long rehabilitation process.
