The Carabinieri of the Sessa Aurunca Company, in the provinces of Caserta, Naples, Alessandria and Varese have executed a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against 14 people (8 in prison, 4 under house arrest and 2 under the obligation to report to the judicial police).
They are all seriously suspected, to varying degrees, of criminal association aimed at the possession and dealing of narcotics. The measures come at the end of an investigative activity supported by wiretaps, environmental wiretaps, video recordings and dynamic services, made particularly difficult by the use of voice distorters, begun in December 2018 by the Carabinieri of the Norm Operational Unit of the Sessa Aurunca Company, coordinated by the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
The investigations allowed to dismantle an association dedicated to drug trafficking operating mainly in the territories of the Municipalities of Sessa Aurunca and Mondragone (CE), to identify its leaders and define its tasks and functions.
They used dedicated handsets for conversations
The gang was characterised by a complex organisation supported by the use of dedicated micro-telephones, telephone numbers fictitiously registered to non-EU citizens, vehicles from a rental company managed on behalf of the organisation and houses set up for the packaging of the drugs to be placed on the market.

It was ascertained how the leaders of the association, with violence and threats, forced some users to purchase the drug exclusively from the association. Numerous checks were carried out, arrests in flagrante delicto, reports in a state of freedom of acolytes and over two thousand episodes of retail dealing were documented, users were identified and reported to the Administrative Authority and over five hundred doses of drugs of the type cocaine, crack, hashish and marijuana were seized as well as money proceeds of the illicit activity.
