'Autumn Stone Theatres' kicks off in archaeological museums. From 29 October 8 events in Caserta of theatre, dance and music
Teatri di Pietra d'Autunno 29, a segment of the National Network of Stone Theaters which, for over twenty years, has placed the enhancement of archaeological and monumental sites through live performances, will kick off on Saturday 18.30 October at 2022:XNUMX pm in the Archaeological Museum of Teanum Sidicinum in Teano (Caserta).
Teatri di Pietra d'Autunno 2022, promoted and created by CapuAntica Festival and Pentagono Produzioni Associate with MIC Ministry of Culture, General Directorate of Campania Museums and the Municipalities of Piedimonte Matese, Teano and Maddaloni, will bring to the stage, until Sunday 13 November in the three Municipalities involved, eight events of theater, dance and music.
The San Domenico Complex/Civic Museum “Raffaele Marrocco” (Piedimonte Matese), the Archaeological Museum of Teanum idicinum (Teano), and the Archaeological Museum of Calatia (Maddaloni) will represent the opportunity for the encounter between visual space, archaeological space and scenographic space.
“In programming – underlines Aurelio Gatti, coordinator of the Network – there is space for the works of Aesop and Phaedrus, Virgil, Giordano Bruno and Verga. Each contributes to the construction of a story that, through the adventures of the protagonists, heroes or simple men and women, explores, with the languages of dance, theater and music our present and lucidly tells the story of contemporary man”.
The festival will open on Saturday, October 29th in Teano with Lupus in fabula from Aesop and Phaedrus, dramaturgy by Tato Russo. On Sunday, October 30th, in Maddaloni, Tempesta from Virgil's Aeneid, dramaturgy by Sebastiano Tringali. The program will resume on Friday, November 4th, in Teano, with La lupa from Giovanni Verga.
The show will also be on stage on Saturday, November 5, in Maddaloni, and Sunday, November 6, in Piedimonte Matese. The last weekend of programming will propose, on Friday, November 11, Infiniti Mondi by Giordano Bruno, dramaturgy by Mario Brancaccio.
The show will be repeated on Saturday 12 November in Piedimonte Matese, and will close the festival on Sunday 13 November in Teano.
