The update of the Statistical Observatory on the Universal Single Allowance (AUU) was published today and, starting from this month, it also contains data relating to the AUU intended for households receiving Basic income (RdC).
The Observatory therefore provides a complete overview of the essential statistical information on the beneficiaries of the measure and on the related economic values with reference to the period March-August 2022 (https://www.inps.it/dati-ricerche-e-bilanci/osservatori-statistici-e-altre-statistiche/dati-cartacei-auu).
For the semester under observation, a total of 7,6 billion euros in benefits were paid to families.
The expenditure relating to households not receiving RdC amounts to 7,3 billion euros, with reference to a group of approximately 5,4 million applicants and 8,7 million children receiving at least one monthly payment; the average monthly amounts were equal to €233 per applicant and €145 per child.
The families receiving RdC, with at least one integrated monthly payment, were 465 thousand, with reference to approximately 786 thousand dependent children, of which just over 500 thousand belonging exclusively to families receiving RdC.
For them, the AUU integration was calculated by subtracting the portion of Citizenship Income relating to the children who are part of the family unit from the theoretical amount of the allowance due; the average monthly amount of this integration was equal to €167 per family unit.
For households not receiving RdC, approximately 46% of the allowances paid per child refer to beneficiaries belonging to households with an ISEE lower than 15 thousand euros; approximately 20% of the children, however, belong to households that have not presented an ISEE. For them, with reference to the month of August, the average amount per child, including applicable increases, ranges from just under €50 (for those who do not present an ISEE or exceed €40 thousand) to €194 for ISEE classes up to €15 thousand.
Please note that the basic amount of the allowance for each minor child, in the absence of increases, ranges from a minimum of €50, in the absence of ISEE or with ISEE equal to or greater than 40 thousand euros, to a maximum of €175 for ISEE up to 15 thousand euros.
Again in the month of August, 47% of the children reached by the measure are concentrated in the North, and for them, more modest average amounts are observed having higher ISEE levels, while in the South there is a smaller number of beneficiaries (34%) and for them, higher average monthly amounts are observed in relation to lower average ISEE levels in these areas: the minimum value of the amount is recorded in the autonomous province of Bolzano, where for each child there is a monthly amount equal to €132 and the maximum value, equal to €166 for each child, is recorded in Calabria.
