The Cains. It is the nickname that the neighborhood reserves for a family unit of closed and shy people, branded by most as infamous and shrouded in an aura of mystery. The father died in unclear circumstances, leaving the mother and three children, two boys and a girl, alone to guard a secret. The girl meets an artist in a disco, a young man obsessed with his own research into the concept of truth and the process of creating a new work. She falls in love with him and decides to introduce him to her relatives. But the arrival of this new character will lead the Cains to confront the boy's curiosity and transparency, risking jeopardizing the secret and the very existence of the family unit. A search for the truth that will lead to a violent reaction from the Cains and that will lead everyone towards a tragic and mocking epilogue.
