The Campania Region has confirmed the obligation to wear masks for medical and healthcare personnel and for visitors to hospital facilities and RSAs.
The ordinance, signed today by the President of the Region Campania Vincenzo De Luca, will come into force tomorrow, Tuesday 1st November.
“The strong vaccination campaign developed thanks to the citizens' sense of responsibility – explains De Luca – has contained the epidemic situation enormously. But the persistence of non-marginal levels of contagion requires caution, especially with respect to patients and vulnerable groups in hospitals and nursing homes”.
De Luca also hopes that the Government provides for mandatory vaccinations also for medical and nursing staff. “It would be unacceptable to force patients, perhaps bedridden, to be treated by unvaccinated personnel – points out – this would be, yes, a form of violence towards the most vulnerable”.
