For the regional secretary of Asppe Campania Luigi Castaldo "talking about treatment and re-education in these conditions is utopian, imagine how much hypocrisy the Penitentiary Police Corps suffers every day when the topic of 'staff well-being' is addressed, given the multiple attacks, given the state of abandonment due to a serious lack of staff where the current superintendent of the Campania Penitentiary administration Lucia Castellano does not seem to have adopted suitable and decisive measures to protect the Penitentiary Police staff on the front line".
According to the general secretary of Asppe Claudio Marcangeli, "unfortunately the image of the Penitentiary Police Corps is increasingly compromised by events that have caused the implosion of a penitentiary system that sees its executive administrators not appearing up to the task and therefore we ask for the institution of a General Commander of the Penitentiary Police Corps".
