“We can't stand the cost of electricity anymore, we need immediate intervention from the institutions so that the purifier that serves the companies in the Ponte Valentino area can continue to function, thus avoiding the blocking of the industries”.
This is the appeal of the president of the Asi of the Province of Benevento, Luigi Barone, to the Region and the Government. "We went from bills of 15 thousand euros to 54 thousand euros per month, without considering other costs, starting with sludge. The situation is very complicated, it is essential to find immediate solutions that do not weigh exclusively on companies, which already suffer heavy increases in production, and on Asi.
At this rate I don't know how long we will continue to operate the purifier, otherwise we will stop and consequently the companies that use our consortium sewer network and our plant will have to stop. It is evidently not clear to many that we provide a de facto public service and therefore we cannot be left alone", adds Barone again.
And then he concludes disconsolately: "It is truly singular that while there are numerous companies, including foreign ones, that have decided to settle in Benevento, on the other hand due to the high cost of energy we are at risk of blocking the industries located there. As far as we are concerned we will do everything to avoid the stoppage but we expect concrete answers especially from the Government", concludes the president of the Asi of the province of Benevento.
