Castel San Giorgio, 20-year-old dies in car accident. The mayor has proclaimed a day of mourning for the funeral
A 20-year-old from Castel San Giorgio, originally from the hamlet of Castelluccio, lost her life last night in an accident that occurred in the municipality on the border between the Irno Valley and the Agro Nocerino Sarnese.
The young woman was in a car with a boy, who was seriously injured and hospitalized with a reserved prognosis. The accident, in which two cars were involved, occurred at the Torello-Campomanfoli junction, along the road that connects with Siano.
Investigations are underway by the Carabinieri of the Mercato San Severino company to reconstruct the exact dynamics and ascertain any responsibilities. Mayor Paola Lanzara will proclaim a day of mourning.
