Castel San Giorgio, 20-year-old dies in car accident. The mayor has proclaimed a day of mourning for the funeral
A 20-year-old woman from Castel San Giorgio, originally from the hamlet of Castelluccio, lost her life last night in an accident that occurred in the municipality on the border between the Irno Valley and the Agro Nocerino Sarnese.
The young woman was in a car with a young man, who was seriously injured and hospitalized with a critical prognosis. The accident, which involved two cars, occurred at the Torello-Campomanfoli junction, along the road connecting to Siano.
Carabinieri officers from the Mercato San Severino branch are investigating to reconstruct the exact circumstances and determine any culprits. Mayor Paola Lanzara will declare a day of mourning.
