Castel Volturno, TARI notified to owner of demolished property
The mystery of the ghost palace on Halloween, TARI notified to owner of demolished building. Cesare Diana (Città Domizia): “For the mayor, expropriation and demolition have no value”
The Mystery of the Ghost Palace on Halloween. Expropriation and demolition are not two coercive measures that have legal value in Castel Volturno.
We discover it today, learning it directly from the notification received by a taxpayer who, despite no longer owning a property located in Ponte a Mare, expropriated in 2016 and demolished in 2021, received a payment notice for the period 2019 - 2022, with a sum of 157,00 euros to be paid for the year 2022 only. Better late than never.
A sort of air tax, since there is nothing left of stone: “The technical office evidently never notified the two administrative documents to the tax office – comments the president of the “Città Domizia” committee, Cesare Diana -. In practical terms, it is as if our disadministrator had requested contributions from a dead person. Yet, the mayor was well aware of the situation in question, since he sat on the opposition benches in the Dimitri Russo administration in 2016 and now sits on the soft mayor's chair, always made comfortable by generous monthly salaries.
We are faced with a hole in the municipal coffers, given that the TARI 2022 is distributed, effectively, on all (sub) buildings present in the territory. Given that ghost buildings are included in the count, there is no doubt that the numbers do not add up, since it would certainly not be the only episode, but would have repercussions on the entire budget of the institution. Clearly, who will pay the shortfall in the state coffers? Will it be the good and convenient Petrella? Certainly not, if anything, who will do it - he concludes - it will be the virtuous and honest citizens who pay taxes, even those of others…”.
