Cinema, 'Pomepi: Eros and Myth', the story of Corsicato and Rossellini. Presentation of the documentary on October 15 at the Castello di Postiglione
Director Pappi Corsicato signs the cinematographic journey, between art and mystery, 'Pompei: eros e mito'. The documentary, with the original soundtrack by Remo Anzovino and the extraordinary participation of Isabella Rossellini, will be presented on Saturday 15 October, at 17:30, in the Church SS. Annunziata of Castello di Postignano (Perugia).
The journey takes the viewer back in time two thousand years, laying bare the myths and characters that have contributed to making this unique archaeological site immortal, also analyzing the lesser-known and more secret sides of the city.
The event, open to the public, closes the 10th edition of the cultural festival 'A Castle on the Horizon', which takes place every year between April and October inside Castello di Postignano, the ancient medieval village in the heart of Umbria, in Valnerina, brought back to life thanks to an accurate and expert restoration, defined as exemplary by Italia Nostra, awarded by the Unesco Europa Clubs, and defined by the American architect Norman F. Carver Jr. as "the archetype of Italian hill villages". Entrance to the event is free and is sponsored by the Umbria Region, the Province of Perugia and the Municipality of Sellano.
