The trial involving the Batti family, which controls illicit businesses in San Giuseppe Vesuviano and surrounding towns, has concluded with the sentence pronounced by the Court of Appeal of Naples.
Strong reduction in sentence for the undisputed leader of the gang, Alfredo Batti (defended by lawyers Antonio Del Vecchio and Gennaro De Gennaro) or the one who was considered the charismatic leader of the criminal association and the one who was the "main actor" of the trial who received a sentence of 15 years with a reduction of 5 years compared to the first degree.
The Mario Nunzio Fabbrocini who was the man considered the boss's factotum and who had actively collaborated with justice and who received a sentence of 4 years and 1 month. Therefore, for him too, a strong reduction in sentence.
Sentence also reduced for Sorrentino Cristian, nephew of Rosary Giugliano (assisted by lawyers Annunziata and Marino) and Guastafierro Vincenzo (lawyer Usiello) who were respectively sentenced to 5 years and 8 months of imprisonment and 5 years. The other Batti brothers did not escape sentences, namely Cristian (assisted by lawyer Perfetto) and Giuseppina (defended by lawyer Gambale) where the first was sentenced to 8 years and the second to 6 years and 8 months.

Same sentence also for his son Ambrosio Salvatore. Things went worse for Campanile Ferdinando 8 years 11 months and 10 days of imprisonment and for Chirico Giovanni with a sentence of 7 years and 1 month of imprisonment and for Buono Gaetano who saw his sentence confirmed. The other position of Batti Luigi (defended by the lawyer Tomeo) another top figure of the association was separated, given that the defendant was unable to act for health reasons and whose position will be defined next week.
