Comicon, from Simest (Cdp Group) support for international growth of VisioNa. SIMEST, the company of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group for the internationalization of Italian companies, supports the growth abroad of VisioNa, a leading national company in the culture and entertainment sector based in Naples, financing its digital development.
Thanks to the support of SIMEST, VisioNa has in fact started the creation of a new e-commerce platform dedicated to the international comics festival, “COMICON”, of which it is the organizer. The platform aims to make the relationship with exhibitors from all over the world more efficient and represents a new supply channel for the online sale of the event's merchandising, editorial products and entrance tickets, as well as for other cultural and artistic activities under the COMICON brand.
“The operation – a note underlines – confirms SIMEST's commitment to supporting the international growth of the Italian production system, through the promotion of innovative companies that – like Visiona – are able to adapt their offering to market trends and confirm themselves as ambassadors of Made in Italy in the world. In 2021, SIMEST had already intervened to support VisioNa by providing a loan aimed at financially compensating for the cancellation of COMICON (for two editions) due to logistical limitations imposed by the COVID emergency”.
VisioNa – active in the culture and entertainment sector for years – has been organizing the “COMICON – International POP Culture Festival” for over 20 years, one of the five most important pop culture festivals globally.
The event is held in Naples in spring and on average registers the participation of over 150 thousand visitors and more than 300 exhibitors. The event has also been included in the program of the "Italian Capital of Culture 2023" with an "ad hoc" event that will be held in June in Bergamo. VisioNa also manages its own editorial line and is active as an agent for internationally renowned artists.
