Disturbed, the new single by Layz is out, inspired by the world in which the famous video game and subsequent film Silent Hill is set
After the success of the previous single “Che Finale”, Layz returns with a song with dark and raw traits that describes, in the form of a nightmare, the world this track is inspired by, that of the well-known video game and subsequent film Silent Hill.
Through this dream, Layz takes a journey inside a ghost town describing in great detail what he sees, in a cone of desperation that heads ever further towards madness, until the moment of awakening which, in reality, is nothing more than the continuation of this nightmare and which gives the listener the opportunity to confront himself through the open ending that leaves room for the imagination of the listener.

“I've always considered Silent Hill, one of the video game experiences that has most influenced me, as a journey into the deepest and most hidden fears of human beings, and that's why I think that universe has always attracted me.” – Layz tells – “I often have nightmares or strange dreams so – as always – I mixed things up by intertwining my experiences with that imaginary world that has never been so imaginary in my eyes. The idea of an open ending, whether in a book or a film, has always fascinated me and this song gave me the opportunity to bring this concept into music, a choice that adds that extra mystery useful for telling this kind of thing. For the sound I relied once again on KD-ONE who added that dark and raw tone fully respecting what I wanted from the sound”.
Biography
Lazzaro Zani, aka Layz, was born in 1993 in Cesena. From a very young age, his passion for Italian music and in particular for Italian rap, generated in him a strong interest in the importance of words, their positioning within a musical text and the attitude with which they are exposed, so much so that he wanted to take part in this artistic world.
Writing, for him, means being able to express what is difficult, if not impossible, to him in words. He is a dreamer, sometimes he remains seated and only he knows what he thinks but this is his strength: being able to look inside himself so well that he can then create a drawing made of words that represents him in every way.
Its launch year was 2020, in which it released 3 singles with related music videos: “Nel profondo”, “Portami su“ and “Caro Prezzo”.
In the summer of 2021, the artist released his first album entitled “Lazzaro”, preceded by the single of the same name. An album in which Layz strips himself of all the secrets and skeletons in the closet that he has kept to himself for too long, a journey in which various anecdotes experienced first-hand of the moments of difficulty that accompanied the author's growth are cited, including fears, raw experiences and tormented dreams. A journey of 14 tracks produced by various important names in the underground panorama - and not only - of the Italian scene: Chryverde, KD-ONE, Omake and Dj Fastcut.
For 2022 Layz has many new releases in store starting with the new single “Mille sbagli” on the radio and on all digital platforms from January 14th. The song has been in rotation, from the first day of release, on Rai Radio2indie and on RTL 102.5 Bro & Sis. In March and May 2022 the new singles “Dentro me” and “Che finale” will be released, followed by “Disturbato” (September 2022) which will lead the artist to the creation of an EP in the next few months of the same year.
