The Caltanissetta Flying Squad arrested a middle school teacher for sexual assault. The teacher was placed under house arrest.

The man, who teaches in a state school, exploiting his role as a teacher allegedly molested an eleven-year-old on several occasions. Last June, the girl found the strength to tell one of her teachers what had happened, who reported everything to the vice principal, but the confidences had no effect.
The victim then turned to her parents who immediately reported the facts to the Flying Squad. In a few days the investigators interviewed several minors who had received the confidences of the partner and who also reported other inappropriate behaviors and inappropriate phrases uttered by the teacher in class.

The girl was then heard by the investigating judge during an evidentiary incident in the presence of a psychologist. The girl's class, but also other students at the school showed great solidarity towards their classmate by collaborating with the investigators and reporting to the police the inappropriate behavior of the teacher who was used to swearing in front of the kids and making inappropriate comments.

The vice principal, who allegedly ignored the revelations of the teacher with whom the victim had spoken, was reported for failure to report.
