Another serious accident at work. It happened this afternoon in Gragnano.
A 63-year-old worker fell for reasons still being ascertained from a scaffolding several meters high on which he was working. The tragedy occurred in via San Leone near the former Emilio Di Nola pasta factory.
The man, 63 years old, Gragnano and very well known in the central area of the country, has suffered very serious injuries and is hospitalised in desperate conditions at the Cardarelli hospital in Napoli.
On site the Carabinieri of the local station and an ambulance that rescued the unfortunate worker and transported him to the hospital. The Carabinieri carried out all the checks and on the orders of the magistrate on duty of the Procuratorate of Torre Annunziata they seized the construction site.
All checks are underway to ensure the regularity of the workers' hiring and compliance with safety regulations on the construction site.
