A fire broke out last night in the Mauro Scarlato hospital in Scafati.
The Salerno Fire Department operations room sent teams from Sarno, Nocera and Mercato San Severino with the support of tankers, ladder trucks and air trucks that arrived from the headquarters. The fire broke out in the pharmaceutical department on the third floor of the health facility.
The work of the four firefighter teams was intense, on site also with the rescue coordinator and the officer on duty for the coordination of operations, who, as reconstructed by the firefighters themselves, evacuated some patients and quickly put out the flames. At the end of the intervention, the safety measures were taken.
