There is a suspect in the death of Virginia Jordan, the 22 year old girl from Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino who died in a road accident along the State Road 268 of Vesuvius in which the boyfriend was also seriously injured (currently still hospitalized in Nocera hospital)
Il pm Francescapaola Colonna Romano of Demand of the Republic at the Court of Nola, who is coordinating the investigations, has instructed the engineer Gerardo Mirabelli, as a technical consultant to reconstruct the road accident that occurred the night before yesterday, October 9, at around 22,00 pm, on the SS268, in the territory of St. Joseph Vesuvius.
Yesterday, an autopsy was also performed in Naples on the unfortunate young woman. From initial information, it would appear that the motorcycle on which the two young people were riding was violently hit by a high-powered car driven by a Chinese citizen, who, on an unlit stretch of the SS268, did not notice the presence of the scooter and hit it.
In the next few days, in the presence of the lawyers (lawyer Antonio D'Inverso for the person under investigation and the lawyer Flavio Of The Oven for the injured parties) and their respective technical consultants, technical checks will be carried out on the two vehicles involved in the accident (a Honda SH motorcycle and a Mercedes GLK car) and an inspection will also be carried out on the scene of the accident with the assistance of the Naples Highway Police.
Investigations that will allow us to define in detail all the aspects useful for the purposes of the investigation, from the trajectories to the speeds of the vehicles involved, and the relative profiles of fault for the accident.
The presence of any satellite tracking devices installed on the vehicles will also be checked, which could provide further details useful for reconstructing the event.

The mayor of Sant'Egidio, Antonio La Mura, posted on social media a message of condolence for the loss of young Virginia:
“Sant'Egidio mourns one of its young daughters, tragically torn from the affection of her loved ones and all of us at a very young age. The news of Virginia Giordano's death leaves us all shocked and incredulous. A profound pain, in the face of which it is impossible to find the words.
On behalf of myself, my family, the municipal administration and the entire community of Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino, shocked and astonished by so much pain, I want to express my deepest condolences to dad Domenico and mum Anna, to her brother Nunzio and to all those who are mourning Virginia's premature death".
Virginia had decided to spend the last day of the week with her boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. So, they both decided to go to a pizzeria in the area. To do so, they used the scooter, a 150cc vehicle, along the State Road 268 of Vesuvius.

The couple, according to what was partially reconstructed by the police, were travelling in the direction of Cercola when they had to stop in a lay-by due to a breakdown related to the scooter's engine and at that very moment the car arrived and hit them.
