Dal 1° ottobre 2022 INPS has extended to Patronato Institutes and certifying doctors the possibility, already provided to the interested user, of attaching health documentation for the medical-legal assessment and the definition of the first instance applications in the regions in agreement or review of civil invalidity.
The operators of the Institutes of Patronage and the certifying doctors, who provide assistance to the citizen, will be able to access the application through the Inps institutional website, authenticating with their digital identity credentials.
The Institutes of Patronage, by means of an authorized operator, will be able to forward the necessary documentation upon delegation of the citizens who have opted for the evaluation in the documents.
After transmission, the document will be made available to the INPS medical commission, which will be able to consult it and make a statement with the issuance of a report on the documents (without calling the citizen for a medical-legal examination), which will be sent to the citizen by registered letter A / R.
If, on the other hand, the documentation received is not considered sufficient or does not allow a complete and exhaustive objective evaluation, the citizen will be summoned for a direct visit.
“To date, 56.079 users have attached 363.966 documents and 51% of these have received the service without having to show up for a medical-legal visit” recalls Vincenzo Caridi – General Director of INPS – who concludes: “The attachment to the documents also for the Patronages is an important innovation that goes in the direction desired by INPS of co-producing services with users and stakeholders.
The patronages played a key role in providing services to citizens during the Covid emergency and now, with the attachment to the documents, they will support the INPS and certifying doctors in providing services to protect the weakest sections of the population".
